"Do not
let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in
me." |

John
14:1 |

One of my
devotionals this morning pointed out a key world in this scripture passage is
"let." "Do not LET
your hearts be troubled."
Much of what drives us crazy does so because we let it. There are plenty of things to
earnestly be concerned about, don't get me wrong! But much of what grinds our
gears are dumb things that just eat away at our peacefulness and erode our
tranquility...the tranquility that Jesus offers us. So, today, when you feel your calm
threatened by something going on around you, take stock. Is it something that is worth getting
your blood pressure up? Or is it
something you can pray about and ask Jesus to guide you through, handling it
HIS way? "Lord Jesus, take
this issue to yourself and lift it from my
shoulders. Please restore peace
in my heart trusting in you and not my own understanding, which could be
incredibly faulty!" Love, Heidi |
