Junior High Religious Education
How do we do it? We meet twice a month on Monday night at Christ the King parish hall from 6:30-8:30 pm. We have games, our own band and then have a large group lesson followed by small sharing groups broken up by age, then get back together for snacks. Large fun events: We have fun activities about every month to build camaraderie within the Idaho Falls Catholic Youth. We do things like movie night, Lagoon, ice skating, and swim night. We also have the Jesus and Me retreat for 7th-8th graders as well as the Diocesan Rally. These events are self supporting through a seperate fee and require a new permission slip for each event. Who's welcome? Everyone from 6th to 8th grade! Just fill out a registration form. Cost? $30 registration fee per child, $80 per family. If a parent or grandparent teaches, it's free! What is the Junior High Group? We combine religious education with games, music, retreats, and fun events to provide an atmosphere where preteens and young teens can develop a personal relationship with God and make the Catholic Church their home. Our Goals are to get to know Jesus personally. To come to a deeper understanding of our Catholic faith. To make fantastic Catholic friends. Oh yes, and to have massive fun.
