Elementary Religious Education

What is Elementary Religious Education?

The instruction of children pre-school to fifth grade in the Catholic Faith and to prepare them to receive the eucharist and reconcilliation. Our goal is to lead children to grow in their identity as a reconciling and eucharistic people in the community and deepen their understanding of the sacraments and their sacramental identity. The program is run with volunteer catechist (teachers) who nurture, teach, and grow the students love of Christ.

Who is welcome? All students grades pre-school to fifth grade are welcome for general religious education. Students in second grade through 17-years-old receive sacramental preperation through this program. Just fill out ther registration form and provide a copy of your baptismal certificate.

How do we do it? There are three one-hour sessions to choose from:

Sundays at 10:15 am or 11:45 am at Holy Rosary School

Mondays at 4:00 pm at Christ the King Center

Classes are generally scheduled September thru May. See our Calendar.

Cost: $30 per child or $80 per family (three or more children)

Vacation Bible School: We hold Vacation Bible School the last week in June each year. Registration begins in May The program runs on volunteer teachers and sponsors.

Each year we choose a new and exciting theme to challenge the students to learn more about their faith. Through games, arts, music and more the children learn to love God and deepen their walk with him.

Register early, there is limited space available. Registration fee $30 per child or $80 per family. If you teach, your children are free!
