Stewardship Council

The Stewardship Council is one of the Leadership Councils of the IFCC; along with the Parish Council, the Finance Council, and the Liturgy Council. The councils' respective roles are defined in the parish pastoral plan - they all play a role in helping live out our parish mission and vision statments.

Specifically, the Stewardship Council will seek to bring awareness of the "Stewardship Way of Life" and help motivate the IFCC to become a model of hospitality and service to others.Â

Mission Statement

"To inform and educate members of the Idaho Falls Catholic Community of the personal and communal benefits of discipleship through the sharing of time, talent, and treasure to further the mission of the parish and to help build up the Kingdom of God."

Vision Statement

"As a community of Christ's disciples, the Idaho Falls Catholic Community reflects the four pillars of stewardship:

  • 1) Hospitality
  • 2) Prayer
  • 3) Formation; and
  • 4) Service

 What We Have Done

The Stewardship Council has completed the following as part of our work:

  1. - Helped plan and host the first annual Sweetheart Dinner, which was also sponsored by the Knights of Columbus
  2. - Updated and edited the IFCC list of ministries
  3. - Hosted the IFCC Family Spring Fling
  4. - Planned and hosted the IFCC September Stewardship Sunday
  5. - Explored ways to help extend a feeling of hospitality so that all know they are valued members of our community
  6. - Assisted in renovation of the new parish website
  7. - Began monthly calendar inserts in the bulletins to inform parishioners of various ministry opportunities and to provide a convenient one-page calendar of parish events for each month
  8. - Supported formation of a new welcoming ministry to hlep new parishioners feel welcomed and become familiar with the parish
